When it comes to my kids, one big interesting difference I am noticing a lot lately is their perception of time, especially their own place within it.
Daughter is Miss Calendar, fixated on dates, timekeeping, ordering the timeline, etc. And on a deeper level, she thinks, and worries, a lot about the past and the future and what it holds for her.
So she looks back and forward.
Son, on the other hand, has no concrete sense of time. He knows dinosaurs lived a long long time ago, but all the same that may as well have been yesterday. The future is tomorrow. Here and now is what it’s at. “Living in the moment” ought to be on his House sigil…
So he looks up, and down.
