50BooksIn2016 #1

This year I have set myself the enjoyable task of reading at least 50 books. And as if that isn’t ambitious enough, I intend to make an illustration after each one I finish.
So without further ado, here is the first. Pilgrim At Tinker Creek, by Annie Dillard. A breathtaking work  that really feels like it sharpens the senses and often punches you in the gut with insight. Despite the complexity and virtuosity of her thoughts her prose is so crisp and lucid that I kept feeling like I was reading through a microscope. Dazzling, really. 

I suppose that is what I ended up doing: I drew myself dazzled..
